Debo señalar que mi hermano ha recibido la atención necesaria, incluyendo tratamiento médico, terapias, consultas y controles. Está muy agradecido por el trato que le han dado en un país donde se habla otro idioma. Hace unos meses le donaron una silla de rueda eléctrica nueva, que le permite trasladarse con mayor facilidad de un sitio a otro. Además, ha conocido y compartido con personas atentas, amables y muy consideradas.

A few months ago he was donated a new electric wheelchair, which allows him to move more easily from one place to another. Hace unos días, me contó que, cuando aún no tenía la silla de rueda electrica, salió a realizar sus compras moviendo manualmente su silla. Un señor se estacionó en su carro y lo llevó hacia donde él iba. Ese mismo día fue al supermercado y, al necesitar tomar algo de un estante alto, las personas, al darse cuenta de su condición, le ayudaron con naturalidad. Así, me ha manifestado lo bien que se siente por todas las atenciones y gentileza de personas desconocidas que le han brindado ayuda, demostrando empatía y solidaridad con un migrante como lo es mi hermano.
Es admirable lo bien que mi hermano ha asumido la enfermedad que le tocó. Se esfuerza cada día, dándose ánimo para seguir adelante, con la firme convicción de vivir y ser feliz. Cuando hablo con él, siempre le comento aspectos positivos y optimistas. Especialmente, en estos días grabé un video con mi nieto en donde Alonso le pide la bendición a su Tío Miguel. Con mucha emoción y alegría, él respondió con una videollamada. Estaba feliz.

When I talk to him, I always comment on positive and optimistic aspects. Especially, these days I recorded a video with my grandson where Alonso asks for his Uncle Miguel's blessing. With much emotion and joy, he responded with a video call. He was happy.
A veces, los cambios de horarios limitan el compartir celebraciones en el momento. Sin embargo, siempre le hago saber todos los acontecimientos que puedan alegrar su día. Como hermana, me siento orgullosa de tener a mi hermano y de compartir día a día mis experiencias y vivencias. Algunas de mis aventuras y ocurrencias con mis hijos, nieto, mascotas y amigos. Extraño a mi hermano y seguramente él a mí. Espero verlo pronto, y que algún día podamos abrazarnos y compartir como hermanos.
