In the personal development world, one of the biggest areas of focus is money and wealth.
This is understandable, as money is among the most emotionally charged aspects of life for many people.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you will know that I have shared a lot of information on money. This has mostly been about the belief systems that can keep us stuck in this important area of life.
Now, Blockchain technology is giving us new opportunities to see that many of the apparent financial truths of the world were just limiting beliefs all along.
Here are some examples.
The Rich Get Richer and The Poor Get Poorer
It is true that the earliest adopters of the Steem Blockchain have an advantage and it is possible to buy influence on the platform. However, it has gone a long way towards providing equality of opportunity to people that might not have had that previously. Anyone with internet access can open a free account and start earning STEEM through their efforts. In particular, many Africans are doing well on the platform. Due to the lower cost of living in their countries, they are able to thrive in new ways.
Money Makes You Selfish/Greedy
This perception is coming from a lack mindset, with the idea of having to hoard. However, the way that money is generated and distributed within the STEEM blockchain ecosystem leads naturally to an abundance mindset. Once you have built up a certain amount of STEEM Power, you are able to freely give financial rewards to others. This is without it depleting your funds.
This makes it incredibly easy to be generous and support others. We are seeing all sorts of altruistic projects and giving happening. One example is @projectgiving and there are many more.
There are still Steem users operating from a place of lack and selfishness. However many of the big “Whale” accounts are very generous and focus on lifting up others through this technology.
I Can’t Earn By Doing What I Love
This is a big one for many people who find themselves trapped in painful, or at least tedious jobs. Often they are doing something that is out of line with their own interests and values in order to pay the bills.
While it isn’t a quick fix, the STEEM Blockchain gives you a real opportunity to get paid for doing, or at least posting about what you love. Literally any subject can be popular. Personally, I’ve found that I’ve also developed new hobbies as a result. For example, I now love making videos, which I always saw as a real chore in the past.
Money Is In Short Supply – There is a Lack of Money
In the past, although it was possible to create wealth by providing value to others, most people (as a whole) were held back due to the machinations of the banker controlled fiat money creation system. This enabled them to control the flow of funds into the economy (always unlimited for them of course!)
Now, STEEM and the other Blockchains are creating money, which has an agreed value on a consistent basis. This has the potential to free us from centralised control, as well as receive reward for the value we provide in new ways.
Over time, this will create a fairer distribution of wealth with increased equality of opportunity.
I’m Unable To Manifest Financial Abundance
The first time that you receive a big upvote for the content you have created, this changes forever!
Of course, there are many, many limiting beliefs about money. Probably there are almost as many as there are people in the world. Many of these have deeper roots than just money itself, for example core self-belief issues or feelings of unworthiness.
However, I deeply believe that we are seeing something new with STEEM and many of the other Blockchain projects. It is a genuine shift in what is possible for humanity.
On an individual level, when incorporated with resolving your personal limiting beliefs, balancing emotional blocks about money, and aligning yourself with the future that you desire, creating on the STEEM Blockchain is a great tool to support you in manifesting your life of choice.
