UK: Another Big Cannabis Market

Cannabis is used widely around the UK even though it is still restricted for recreational purposes and it can be extremely difficult to obtain for medicinal purposes as well even though there is a market for it.

In the years since they have welcomed that medicinal market it hasn't grown much. This comes despite a number of GPs indicating that they might be open minded to the change and many British people have also suggested they would try it as well.

There are some prescriptions that have been given but certainly there is a much larger need in the region and not just for a medicinal market.

It has been estimated that they too could see a multi-billion cannabis market come about eventually, bringing thousands of jobs and different products along with it.

They might not have a recreational market yet but that doesn't mean activism hasn't been ongoing and efforts haven't been made to push things in that direction.

Some might ask why was it restricted in the first place?

Now that more areas are unraveling that restriction perhaps it might not be that much longer before more effort is made on this front in the UK as well.

Whether it be decriminalization or a recreational market there is support to see that control reduced and reform for personal choice and freedom on this issue instead.
