On Chain Vs. Lightning Network
Hello Hivers friends,
today we break away from our habits a little by seeing a small tutorial on BTC and Hive conversions.
A few weeks ago, thanks to @vittoriozuccala, I learned of a service to bring liquidity to Hive without the need for Exchanges that require KYC.
All we need is a mobile phone or a PC to use Pocket Bitcoin, a bank account, our Hive account and V4V.app.
If we want to bring liquidity to Hive with this tutorial we have 2 possibilities: one way uses an On-Chain channel, while the other uses the Lightning Network
The advantages of the Lightning Network are speed and the reduction of transaction fees. And with this tutorial we will also see to what extent.
On-Chain Transactions
To take the easiest route we can use On-Chain transactions and to do this you just need to download the [Pocket Bitcoin] app (https://pck.et/app) on your smartphone.
Once you have created your wallet you will find this screen
By tapping on Buy Bitcoin or on the Bitcoin symbol below we will begin our purchase.
First we will have to enter the amount we want to send to our wallet
As you can see I did the test with €20
SPOILER: if you enter the referral code you will receive €5 in BTC once you have made transactions for a total value of €500
By clicking on Continue you will have to enter the IBAN from which you will make the transfer to increase your capital
Then it will let you choose which wallet you want to receive your BTC on and going forward you will have a screen with the instructions to follow to make the transfer.
Then go and make the transfer of the amount you want (up to €950 per day, account authentication is not necessary) to the indicated IBAN and with the indicated payment reason.
ATTENTION because the reason MUST be EXACTLY the one indicated, otherwise your funds will be lost.
Once the transfer has been made and received by Pocket Bitcoin you will see your order being paid and it will remain that way until your BTC is credited to the Pocket Bitcoin wallet.
As you can see from the screen below, with a €20 bank transfer I received 30,430 SATs on my wallet.
I made an instant transfer (I have 10 free per month thanks to my Hype account) and within about 24 hours I had my SATs in my wallet.
I then sent these directly to my wallet engine receiving 27,533 SWAP.BTC.
I then changed them all in SWAP.HIVE obtaining at the end of the path approximately 66 SWAP.HIVE
Lightning Network transactions
If instead we want to take the less direct route, we can use the Lightning Network.
First we need to use a BTC wallet that supports the Lightning Network.
The choices that Pocket Bitcoin gives are between Phoenix and Breeze.
Between the two I chose Phoenix, always recommended by @vittoriozuccala.
Once we have created our Lightning wallet, we can get started.
This time, instead of using the Pocket Bitcoin app, let's go to the site
And select the item at the top left Bitcoin
We click on Buy Bitcoin and on the next page we look for the writing Lightning as in the photo.
We then click on the "Try Now" button and move on
In the new screen that opens, we will be able to do little other than click on "Buy Bitcoin" and access our wallet by entering our email.
We select the wallet on which we want to receive our BTC (I selected Phoenix)
Then we enter our IBAN and we will be catapulted into the most important screen of all, the one where we are given all the data to make the transfer.
The part in red is the code to be inserted in the transfer reason to link the transaction to our wallet and which is reusable.
After a handful of minutes (always relying on the instant bank transfer) we will receive an email warning us that our SATs are available for withdrawal to the previously specified wallet.
At this point open the link, open your wallet and confirm the receipt transaction.
As you can see from the previous screenshot, with €20 I received 32,472 SATs.
However, I found myself in the Phoenix wallet 28,408 SATs
Now how do I submit my SATs to Hive?
This is why V4V.app comes to our aid.
Simply send your SATs to @v4v.app, convert them to HIVE and you will automatically find them in your Hive wallet (not Hive-Engine).
I sent 28,000 SATs on V4V.app and got about 84 Hive liquids
Conclusions
The convenience of the Lightning Network, in addition to the lower fees compared to On-Chain transactions, is certainly its speed.
In a few tens of minutes I transformed my Euros into Hive with decidedly low costs, while On-Chain transactions take around 24 hours because SATs credits take place after 10.00 pm
Furthermore, with this solution we can also get paid in BTC by our customers, without too many complications.
All you need to do is tell the customer the amount to send us and tell them to enter the code that Pocket Bitcoin gives us and give the customer the Pocket Bitcoin IBAN.

On Chain Vs. Lightning Network
Salve amici Hivers,
oggi ci distacchiamo un po' dalle abitudini andando a vedere un piccolo tutorial sulle conversioni BTC e Hive.
Qualche settimana fa, grazie a @vittoriozuccala, sono venuto a conoscenza di un servizio per portare liquidità su Hive senza bisogno di Exchange che richiedono KYC.
Tutto quello di cui abbiamo bisogno è un cellulare o un PC per utilizzare Pocket Bitcoin, un conto corrente bancario, il nostro account Hive e V4V.app.
Se vogliamo portare liquidità su Hive con questo tutorial abbiamo 2 possibilità: una strada utilizza un canale On-Chain, mentre l'altra utilizza il Lightning Network
I vantaggi del Lightning Network sono la velocità e l'abbattimento delle fee di transazione. E con questo tutorial andremo a vedere anche in che misura.
Transazioni On-Chain
Per percorrere la strada più facile possiamo utilizzare delle transazioni On-Chain e per farlo vi basterà scaricare l'app di Pocket Bitcoin sul vostro smartphone.
Una volta creato il vostro wallet vi ritroverete questa schermata
Tappando su Compra Bitcoin o sul simbolo del Bitcoin in basso cominceremo il nostro acquisto.
Per prima cosa dovremo inserire l'importo che vogliamo inviare sul nostro wallet
Come potete vedere io ho fatto la prova con 20€
SPOILER: se mettete il referral code riceverete 5€ in BTC una volta fatte transazioni per un valore totale di 500€
Cliccando su Continua dovrete inserire l'IBAN da cui farete il bonifico per aumentare il vostro capitale
Poi vi farà scegliere su quale wallet vorrete ricevere i vostri BTC e andando avanti avrete una schermata con le istruzioni da seguire per fare il bonifico.
Andate quindi ad effettuare il bonifico dell'importo che volete (fino a 950€ al giorno non è necessaria l'autenticazione dell'account) all'IBAN indicato e con la causale di pagamento indicata.
ATTENZIONE perchè la causale DEVE essere ESATTAMENTE quella indicata, altrimenti i vostri fondi andranno persi.
Un volta effettuato il bonifico e una volta ricevuto da Pocket Bitcoin vedrete il vostro ordine in pagamento e rimarrà così finchè non accrediteranno i vostri BTC sul wallet di Pocket Bitcoin.
Come potete vedere dalla schermata qui sotto, con 20€ di bonifico ho ricevuto sul wallet 30.430 SATs.
Ho effettuato un bonifico istantaneo (ne ho 10 gratuiti al mese grazie al mio conto Hype) e nel giro di circa 24h avevo i miei SATs nel wallet.
Questi li ho inviati poi direttamente sul mio wallet engine ricevendo 27.533 SWAP.BTC.
Li ho poi cambiati tutti in SWAP.HIVE ottenendo alla fine del percorso circa 66 SWAP.HIVE
Transazioni Lightning Network
Se invece vogliamo passare per la strada meno diretta, possiamo utilizzare il Lightning Network.
Per prima cosa dobbiamo utilizzare un wallet BTC che supporti il Lightning Network.
Le scelte che dà Pocket Bitcoin sono tra Phoenix e Breeze.
Tra i due io ho scelto Phoenix, consigliato sempre da @vittoriozuccala.
Una volta creato il nostro wallet Lightning, possiamo iniziare.
Questa volta, invece di utlizzare l'app di Pocket Bitcoin, rechiamoci sul sito
E selezioniamo la voce in alto a sinistra Bitcoin
Clicchiamo su Compra Bitcoin e nella pagina successiva cerchiamo la scritta Lightning come in foto.
Clicchiamo quindi sul tasto "Prova ora" e andiamo avanti
Nella nuova schermata che si aprirà, potremo fare ben poco se non cliccare su "Acquistare Bitcoin" e accedere al nostro wallet inserendo la mail.
Selezioniamo il wallet su cui vogliamo ricevere i nostri BTC (io ho selezionato appunto Phoenix)
Poi inseriamo il nostro IBAN e verremo catapultati nella schermata più importante di tutte, quella in cui ci vengono dati tutti i dati per effettuare il bonifico.
La parte in rosso è il codice da inserire nella causale del bonifico per legare la transazione al nostro wallet e che è riutilizzabile.
Dopo una manciata di minuti (sempre appoggiandosi al bonifico istantaneo) riceveremo una mail che ci avverte che i nostri SATs sono disponibili al prelievo sul wallet specificato in precedenza.
A questo punto aprite il link, aprite il vostro wallet e confermate la transazione di ricezione.
Come potete vedere dalla schermata precedente, con 20€ ho ricevuto 32.472 SATs.
Ritrovandomi però nel wallet Phoenix 28.408 SATs
E ora come faccio a mandare i miei SATs su Hive?
Per questo ci viene in aiuto V4V.app.
Vi basterà inviare i vostri SATs a @v4v.app, convertirli in HIVE e ve li ritroverete automaticamente nel vostro wallet di Hive (non Hive-Engine).
Io ho inviato 28.000 SATs su V4V.app e ho ottenuto circa 84 Hive liquidi
Conclusioni
La comodità del Lightning Network, oltre alle fee più contenute rispetto alle transazioni On-Chain, è sicuramente la velocità.
In qualche decina di minuti ho trasformato i miei Euro in Hive con costi decisamente bassi, mentre per le transazioni On-Chain occorrono circa 24h perchè gli accrediti di SATs avvengono dopo le 22.00
Con questa soluzione inoltre possiamo anche farci pagare in BTC dai nostri clienti, senza troppe complicazioni.
Basterà comunicare al cliente l'importo da inviarci e dirgli di mettere in causale il codice che ci dà Pocket Bitcoin e dare al cliente l'IBAN di Pocket Bitcoin.
