Even the monochrome doesn't fade Ibiza | MONOMAD Challenge

My dear hivers of the Black and White community, let it be known that not even black and white colours Ibiza. This is my entry for the #monomad challenge of the day.

Ibiza is movement, it's intensity, it's extremes, it's not being able to pause on the way because the island brings something close to you that moves the floor again.

Although this party has been edited entirely in black and white, I don't know if you think like me: it still looks colourful. I'm not talking about anything to do with pride, but even in the shade of grey you can see the joy, the excitement, the enthusiasm.

This was the opening of the season. It was held in Ibiza town, known as Eivissa in the language of the island. Specifically it was held in Portside, the area next to the harbour.

Ni el monocromático destiñe a Ibiza | MONOMAD Challenge

Mis queridos hivers de Black and White community, que lo sepan que ni el blanco y negro le saca los colores a Ibiza. Esta es mi entrada para el #monomad challenge del día.

Ibiza es movimiento, es intensidad, es extremos, es no poder hacer una pausa en el camino porque la isla algo te acerca que te mueve el piso otra vez.

Aunque esta fiesta ha sido editada por completo en Blanco y Negro, no se si opinan como yo: igual parece de colores. No hablo de nada relacionado con el orgullo, sino que incluso en la tonalidad de grises se aprecia la alegría, la emoción, el entusiasmo.

Esta fue la apertura de la temporada. Se hizo en Ibiza ciudad, conocido como Eivissa en el lenguaje de la isla. Específicamente se celebró en Portside, el área aledaña al puerto.

The music could be heard from near the bus station where I got off to go to this event.

To the surprise of many, this celebration was totally free and there were well known DJs playing here (I didn't know them) such as Luciano and Miss Monique.

Many came to the conclusion that this event had the characteristics that it had (free entrance, open, massive, of excellent quality), to give a warm start to the season to those of us who are working on the island, since we workers don't usually go to many festivals because of how expensive they are, although many places offer passes called worker pass, so that we are not excluded from the parties. However, there are more times when we are working at the venues than there are times when we can go (work is hard in the summer season).

La música se escuchaba desde cerca de la estación de buses donde me bajé para ir a este evento.

Para sorpresa de muchos, esta celebración fue totalmente gratuita y tocaron DJs muy conocidos por aquí (yo no los conocía) como Luciano y Miss Monique.

Muchos llegaron a la conclusión de que este evento había tenido las características que tuvo (entrada libre, abierto, masivo, de excelente calidad), para dar un caluroso inicio de temporada a quienes estamos trabajando en la isla, ya que los trabajadores no solemos ir a muchos festivales por lo caros que son, aunque muchos lugares ofrecen pases llamados worker pass, para que no quedemos excluidos de las fiestas. Sin embargo, son más las veces que estamos trabajando en los lugares que los momentos en los que podemos ir (el trabajo es arduo en la temporada de verano).

Anyway. The sunset began to accompany this event as people began to crowd in, first near the stage and then wherever they arrived.

The relaxed Ibiza vibe was evident in the crowd, and the tourists began to stand out from the crowd of already undisputed workers.

Quiet dancing, chatter, contemplation. Stillness and movement. All this came together on the stage of Eivissa's Portside as night approached the westernmost of the Balearic Islands.

The sun in the distance, waving from almost behind a hill, reminded me how thankful I am to be here.

I was in black and white, I like the undisputed colour of the island even in monochrome.

En fin. El atardecer empezó a acompañar a este evento mientras la gente se amontonaba, primero cerca del escenario y luego donde iban llegando.

El ambiente relajado de Ibiza se hacía evidente en el público, y los turistas empezaban a destacar por entre la multitud de los ya indiscutibles trabajadores.

Bailes tranquilos, charlas, contemplación. Quietud y movimiento. Todo esto se reunía en el escenario del Portside de Eivissa mientras la noche se acercaba a la más Occidental de las Islas Baleares.

El sol a lo lejos, saludando por casi detrás de una colina, me hizo recordar cuántas gracias doy por estar aquí.

Iba en blanco y negro, me gusta que sea indiscutible el color de la isla incluso en monocromático.
