Remontarse años atrás, a la primera civilización, que se situaba entre el 4.000 y el 3.000 a.C., es la base de nuestra reciente sociedad en la que vivimos ahora mismo. De hecho, se estableció que los antiguos sumerios, los egipcios y la civilización china son los que iniciaron la sociedad humana en la que estamos ahora mismo.
La primera civilización dio el pistoletazo de salida a todo, desde el gobierno, la agricultura, el arte, el comercio e incluso a los avances tecnológicos. Al recordar la primera civilización y compararla con la sociedad moderna en la que nos encontramos, a veces me preguntaba si habríamos podido sobrevivir a esta época.
Aunque no estuve presente en la primera civilización, los hechos históricos me dan una idea de la naturaleza de la civilización primitiva. Observar cómo la gente se asentaba en entornos en los que nuestra sociedad moderna no podría o no querría asentarse. Por ejemplo, los egipcios se asentaron a lo largo del río Nilo. Ese río, que fue la base de la agricultura, condujo a la urbanización. Una de las cosas que me llamó la atención de la civilización primitiva es que fue paso a paso y la gente siguió creciendo.
Desde el asentamiento a lo largo de los ríos, hasta el desarrollo de sistemas de escritura, por ejemplo, los jeroglíficos en Egipto, y esto sucede para poder registrar las transacciones porque su población sigue creciendo. Luego, a medida que pasa el tiempo, la civilización primitiva empieza a tomar otra forma en el aspecto del progreso arquitectónico y las estructuras maravillosas. Ejemplos como las pirámides de Egipto son capaces de servir tanto a fines religiosos como políticos.
Permítanme hablar también del aspecto religioso, ya que desempeña un papel fundamental en nuestra vida cotidiana, pues contribuye a configurar la gobernanza, da forma a la ley y, en última instancia, configura nuestra economía. Los monarcas de entonces eran vistos como figuras divinas, ya que tenían el poder y la autoridad en sus manos. Ahora la gran pregunta es ¿Podríamos haber sobrevivido entonces? Comparando aquella época, la vida era realmente dura para ellos en comparación con la sociedad moderna en la que vivimos. De hecho, la supervivencia es un reto constante para mucha gente en los primeros tiempos, y algunos tienen que esforzarse al máximo sólo para poder comer y tener acceso al sustento básico.

Hablando sobre todo de mí, a veces suelo preguntarme si habría sobrevivido a aquella época en caso de estar allí. Si miro a lo que se enfrentaban entonces y lo comparo con la sociedad en la que vivo ahora, diré que es un No positivo para mí. La realidad de la vida de entonces habría sido realmente abrumadora para mí, que estoy acostumbrado a los estándares de hoy en día. El trabajo constante al que se enfrentaban en los primeros tiempos de la civilización sólo para comer y tener acceso incluso a la limitada atención médica de entonces era demasiado exigente.
No me malinterpreten, la supervivencia seguía siendo posible, pero sólo para aquellos que se habían adaptado y tenían los conocimientos necesarios para desenvolverse en el entorno. Aquellos hombres eran muy resistentes, y yo, personalmente, dudo que lo fuera tanto si tengo en cuenta lo acostumbrado que estoy a las comodidades modernas.
Mirando a nuestro alrededor, sí, hasta cierto punto eran más avanzados. La mayoría de las veces, tenemos la tentación de pensar que la civilización primitiva o antigua es primitiva si la comparamos con nuestra sociedad moderna, que vive de acuerdo con el modelo de desarrollo tecnológico. Pero en otro aspecto, si tenemos en cuenta el aspecto de las herramientas limitadas y el conocimiento que esos chicos tenían entonces, y mirando a los logros que fueron capaces de lograr también, voy a decir que todavía era extraordinario también. De hecho, como he dicho antes, los primeros logros siguen siendo la base de la mayoría de las cosas que hemos sido capaces de hacer ahora en nuestra era moderna.
Como conclusión y mirando hacia atrás a cómo la primera civilización debe haber mirado y mirando el viaje paso a paso que fluye de ella. Quién sabe si habríamos sobrevivido en ella, pero en realidad lo dudo. No debemos restar importancia a las primeras civilizaciones porque nos parezcan tan antiguas. Deberíamos tener siempre presente que la mayoría de las cosas que se lograron entonces son la base de lo que estamos logrando en la actualidad.

Going back years ago to the first civilization which was around the 4,000 to 3,000 BCE is the foundation for our recent society we live in right now. In fact, it was established that the ancient Sumerians, the Egyptians and the Chinese civilization are those ones that started the human society we are in right now.
The First civilization kickstarting everything ranging from the governance, agriculture, art, trade and even to technology Advancements. Looking back at the first civilization and comparing it to the modern society we are in right now, sometimes I used to wonder whether we could have actually survived this era.
Even though I wasn't present in the first or Early Civilisations, Historical facts gives me some picture above the nature of eary civilisation. Looking at how people settle around surroundings that our modern society might not or will not settle on. Take for example Egyptians settling along the Nile river. Those river which which was the basic of agriculture then lead to urbanisation. One of the things I actually noticed from the early civilisation is it was step by step and people continue to grow to it.
From settling along the rivers, to developing systems of writing for example the Hieroglyphics in Egypt and this happens to be able to record transactions because their population keeps growing. Then as time goes on, the early civilisation begins to take another shape in the aspect of architectural progress and wonderful structures. Examples like the pyramids of Egypt as it is able to serve both the religious and the political purposes that it needs to be served.
Let me also talk about the religion aspect because it play a major role in our daily life as it helps to shape governance, shapes law and at the end of the day Shape our economy. Monarchs as of then was seen as divine figures as they have power and authority at their very hands. Now the big question is Could we have survived then? Comparing those time, life was really harsh on them massively compared to the modern society that we live in. In fact I will say survival is a constant challenge for many people during the early challenges and some need to go extra mine in hardwork just to be able to eat and have access to basic sustenance.
Talking most especially about me, sometimes I usually wonder whether I will have survived those era if I am there. Looking at what they face then and compare to the society I lived in right now, I will say it is a positive No for me. The reality of life then will have really been overwhelming for me who has been used to this modern days standards. The constant labour they face during the early civilisation just to have food to eat and to have access to even the limited medical care as of then is too demanding.
Don't get me wrong, the survival was still possible but quite possible only for those that adapted and has the knowledge to be able to navigate the environment. There was so much resilience that those guys put in there and for someone like me personally, I doubt whether I will have that resilience looking at how used I am to the modern comforts.
Looking around, yes they were actually more advanced to an extent. Most of the time, we are tempted to think the early or ancient civilization are just primitive when we compare it to our modern society that lives on the template of technology development. But in another aspect, if we should consider the aspect of the limited tools and knowledge those guys have then, and looking at the accomplishment they were able to achieve also, I will say it was still extraordinary also. In fact like I said earlier, the early accomplishment was still the foundation of most of the things we were able to do right now in our modern era.
As I conclude and looking back to how the first civilization must have look and looking at the step by step journey that flows from it. Perhaps whether we might have survived in it who knows but I actually doubt. We should not play down on the early civilisation probably because we thought they look so ancient. We should always have it in mind that most of the things achieved then is the foundation to what we are actually achieving in our modern days right now actually.
