Desconozco exactamente desde cuando existen las falsas noticias o fake news, cuando se percataron de su existencia y las bautizaron con este nombre y les dieron la importancia que poseen, al ser fuente de desinformación y hasta pánico en algunos casos, lo que sí sé, es que desde que me hice consciente de su existencia, comprendí que su única intención o propósito es engañar y generar ruido, todo ello a través de un contenido con apariencia que lo hace parecer real.
Ahora bien, me he percatado de que la mayoría de las noticias falsas suelen surgir en redes sociales debido al auge de ellas, lo que les permite hacerlas circular de manera muy rápida. He visto videos y fotos en redes como Instagram, TikTok y X, en las que circulan noticias como la muerte de celebridades y son completamente falsas. El motivo por el que las usan, es el tener la certeza de que muchos no confirmarán la información.
Algunos ejemplos de las fake news son traslados de deportistas famosos a otros equipos, también el embrazo de celebridades, separaciones entre parejas famosas, muertes de actores o accidentes que no ocurrieron, como también el trastocar, sucesos para hacer de cosas normales un escándalo al agregarles o quitarles información y eso tratándose de la vida personal de alguien, porque si hablamos de noticias en torno a la política, economía o más de un país estamos hablando de algo más serio.
Por otra parte, si una persona lee una noticia falsa y no tiene la suficiente experiencia para buscar información a través de otros medios, para confirmar lo que tiene ante sus ojos, llegará a no saber o dudar de que es cierto o falso. Hay personas que creen ciegamente en las redes sociales y no verifican las fuentes de la información, lo cual hace que estén más dispuestas a creer en teorías de conspiración.

Las falsas noticias pueden también crear en el público confusión alterando su percepción, lo que puede tener como efecto malas interpretaciones en temas serios como la política, economía y más de un país.
Al mismo tiempo, las fake news, han difundido datos falsos de información científica, como ocurrió durante la pandemia del Covid-19, también deforman creencias con el propósito de primero cambiarlas y segundo moldear las futuras decisiones.
La pregunta lógica seria, ¿qué podemos hacer para saber si estamos ante una falsa noticia?, en mi caso, cuando veo en una red social algo que me parece sospechoso, investigo en internet para verificar si esa información es cierta, verifico la fuente y veo también si otros medios de comunicación, están difundiendo lo mismo, otra cosa que me ha ayudado mucho y que es más directo, es leer los comentarios debajo de la información que circula, allí podríamos encontrar que alguien está desmintiendo lo compartido y hacer una búsqueda en torno a lo que la persona que desmiente está señalando.
En resumen, las fake news cuando giran en torno a la vida personal de alguien, perjudican su reputación y violan su derecho a la privacidad, y muchas veces al hacer clic sobre una posible, fake news en torno a una celebridad, generamos ganancias para un grupo, ahora, si tienen un propósito ideológico la intención final es desinformar y lograr en quienes las leen comportamientos y acciones específicas, así finaliza mi participación en la propuesta para el día 15 de July Inleo | Monthly Prompts
I do not know exactly since when fake news or fake news exist, when they became aware of their existence and baptized them with this name and gave them the importance they possess, being a source of disinformation and even panic in some cases, what I do know, is that since I became aware of their existence, I understood that their only intention or purpose is to deceive and generate noise, all through a content with appearance that makes it seem real.
Now, I have realized that most of the fake news tends to emerge in social networks due to the boom of them, which allows them to circulate very quickly. I have seen videos and photos on networks like Instagram, TikTok and X, where news like celebrity deaths are circulating and they are completely fake. The reason why they use them, is to be certain that many will not confirm the information.
Some examples of fake news are transfers of famous athletes to other teams, also the pregnancy of celebrities, separations between famous couples, deaths of actors or accidents that did not happen, as well as the alteration of events to make normal things a scandal by adding or removing information and that is about someone's personal life, because if we talk about news about politics, economy or more of a country we are talking about something more serious.
On the other hand, if a person reads a false news and does not have enough experience to look for information through other means, to confirm what he has before his eyes, he will come to not know or doubt whether it is true or false. There are people who blindly believe in social networks and do not verify the sources of the information, which makes them more willing to believe in conspiracy theories.
Fake news can also create confusion in the public by altering their perception, which can have as an effect misinterpretations on serious issues such as politics, economy and more of a country.
At the same time, fake news, which has spread false scientific information, as happened during the Covid-19 pandemic, also distorts beliefs with the purpose of first changing them and secondly shaping future decisions.
The logical question would be, what can we do to know if we are facing a fake news, in my case, when I see in a social network something that seems suspicious to me, I investigate on the internet to verify if that information is true, I verify the source and also see if other media, are spreading the same, another thing that has helped me a lot and that is more direct, is to read the comments below the information that circulates, there we could find that someone is denying the shared and do a search around what the person who denies is pointing out.
In summary, fake news when they revolve around someone's personal life, damage their reputation and violate their right to privacy, and many times by clicking on a possible fake news about a celebrity, we generate profits for a group, now, if they have an ideological purpose the final intention is to misinform and achieve specific behaviors and actions in those who read them, so ends my participation in the proposal for the 15th of July Inleo | Monthly Prompts.
