As usual, one of my favorite time of the year in Croatia is the #carnival time & I just love to participate in many of the activities as well as just taking photos of others...

It was below zero Celsius!

This year I have for the first time followed the bell carriers from Viškovo on their #walkabout from Viškovo to #Kastav & back, some 20-30 km. In Croatian they are called "#Halubajski zvončari". They are almost all big, strong, rough & tough men, as you can see from this example on the photo (but check the video below)! They are cheeky & like to make a lot of harder jokes during their path like softly kicking if you stand on their way, if you don't host them in your village, they will surely make some mess to the whole village, even touching women while passing by, pissing anywhere & drinking a lot of vine & #rakija but also eating a lot of food... But, their purpose is quite important as #evil #ghosts & #spirits #chasers of the cold winter! (Ask in comment if you want to know more, please!) They are the largest group of bell carriers (#zvončari) from my parts.
