Is banning porn really the solution for flaming RAPE cases in Nepal?

For the past few months, rape has become one of the most common news in Nepal. From the child of 3 years to 71 years old grandmas, women of every age groups are getting raped. This is really questioning the humanity and the freedom of Nepali women.

Rapists are roaming freely in the streets, they aren't punished by the government. Those who are caught, get bailed because of their political reach. There is no feeling like "fear of government" for the rapist.

And here is our government punishing people who kiss in the public. Yes, you got it right. Kissing in public is illegal in Nepal. Now the government has even banned pornography. Prostitution was never legal here in Nepal. Sex has been like a forbidden fruit for Nepali people. Police raids the hotels and arrests couples making love with each other's agreement.

Now our government is banning porn. They think it is the reason why rape is increasing daily. Why aren't they understanding that people who masturbate aren't the ones who rape? I am completely frustrated with the irresponsible and immature act by our government.

What do you think?

Do you think that our government has done the right move? What should be done in order to control the flaming rape rate in Nepal?
