I know a lot of third world countries (including mine, Brazil) depend on natural resource and commodity exports as the backing flesh of their economy, however, I think the real solution for their economic emancipation is industrialization, so they can compete against the US and China on more expenisve manufactured products. The first wold is keeping the third world behind through the privatization of industry and its sale over to Wall Street. Not oil bans. I don't think oil bans are a concern to our economic status.
