A strange legislation has been passed by Pakistani senate today. Nawaz Sharif, the ex Prime Minister of Pakistan who was declared ineligible to contest elections or become head of a political party has been granted a lifeline.
The Election Bill 2017 has allowed an otherwise ineligible person to become head of a political party. The new bill is absurd in the sense that a person who cannot become a legislative member has been allowed to manage the affairs of those who are eligible.
The latest legislation is yet another evidence of the fact that these filthy politicians only make laws which favor them. Legislation for public benefited is almost nonexistent.
It's time that as Pakistanis we understand the selfish motives of ruling elite and cut their roots.
