Oh Look, Two New Friends

Two more notable Australian Journalists, Annika Smethurst & Ben Fordham attacked for reporting on information well within the scope of public interest.

Nothing personally against the parties involved, i appreciate you are just doing your job, but so are they.

Lets be reasonable, i agree, and understand, that if there is a security breach, from intelligence or defence agencies, that is a matter of concern for investigation, for you (and us) but if information, that is within the public interest, is leaked, and published, that is not the fault of the journalist or commentator, for its syndication.

You're fuckup, as an intelligence agency, is not their fault, what would be their fault, is if they did not report it, because that is what they are supposed to do.

For, how can an educated public, make informed political decisions, if but for, they are not intelligently informed.

Oh and look at the calendar date, Tiananmen Square, how fitting, east and west, we still fight for the free press.

Nothing against the AFP or Defence force, as an institution or its personnel, great men & women, i would consider friends in democracy, however, if information within the public interest is leaked, and not reported by journalists, let alone they are demonized and prosecuted for it, then we walk the line of the "totalitarian tip toe" which is not the path we want to be on, and not for what any of us stand for, whatever our political stripe.
