Trump calls for the Nation to unite in wake of recent attacks

"Scripture teaches us the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit. We seek comfort in those words, for we know that God lives in the hearts of those who grieve. In moments of tragedy and horror, America comes together as one. And it always has." -President Donald J. Trump

Americans are eager to give, we are giving people, just don't like the government telling us how and when. Recent disasters from Puerto Rico to Las Vegas, have tested our strength.

Hurricane Harvey in Texas- Death toll 70
Hurricane Irma in Florida- Death toll 72 + 40 (Caribbean) 112
Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico -Death toll 34 as of 10/04/17
Shooting Las Vegas- 58 dead 400+ injured

But as ALWAYS we come together as one Nation under God. Once more we have proven that when attacked--- race, religion nor political affiliation matter. People go out of their way to help thy neighbor. In times of despair, our American values are displayed by the actions we take.

President Trump along with wife Melania visited each affected site to comfort people, help distribute food, asses damage and offer local officials Federal support. His Administration was praised repeatedly by everyone for his response to Harvey and Irma. Including the MSM, which gave him a break from their 91% negative coverage (number comes from a study conducted by Media Research Center).

They didn't have anything negative to say about him; some victims even had a change of opinion upon meeting him. However, it did not take long before it did get political and people were opportunistic. Such as when the Mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico Carmen Yulin Cruz went on national television and essentially said the President's negligence was leading to 'genocide'. Trump was surprised to hear this because the Governor , FEMA and others were saying otherwise.

“The president and the administration, every time we’ve asked them to execute, they’ve executed quickly,” Rosselló told Fox Business and tweeted the following:

Trump then thought she may be running for office to be attacking him in such moment, and turns out he was correct. It did not take long for the MSM to jump on the opportunity to finally criticize Trump.
I wonder who gave her this custom shirt when food supplies weren't being delivered to her constituents.

Upon researching the truth behind the comments made by the mayor, I came across a video of a woman claiming to work for the police department of San Juan, the city Cruz represents. In this video, the woman claims that they are not allowed to distribute food or water they do have to it's people- she thinks they are playing politics in the region. She is upset and the panic in her voice can be heard in recording; hear for yourself, video attached below.

In short, it was not failure of the administration, but of the ground efforts on the island. Hardships stemmed from manpower, to corruption and an existing financial debt. It looks like there were no truck drivers reporting to work, no gas (there was gas on the island, but not available at gas stations), no power (the grid went out due to negligence & corruption of the company) and an island $70 billion in debt prior Maria.

Then comes October 1, 2017, a mass shooting is carried out against Country fans attending Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada. Stephen Paddock, a 64 year old man from Mesquite, Nevada shot fire from above the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay. He shot for about 10 minutes before ending his own life only after a security guard busted his door open. His motive or if others were involved is unknown. A current investigation is ongoing and this story continues to unfold.

"We call upon the bonds that unite us: our faith, our family, and our shared values. We call upon the bonds of citizenship, the ties of community, and the comfort of our common humanity. Our unity cannot be shattered by evil. Our bonds cannot be broken by violence. And though we feel such great anger at the senseless murder of our fellow citizens, it is our love that defines us today, and always will forever. In times such as these, I know we are searching for some kind of meaning in the chaos, some kind of light in the darkness. The answers do not come easy. But we can take solace knowing that even the darkest space can be brightened by a single light, and even the most terrible despair can be illuminated by a single ray of hope." President Donald J. Trump
