I just wanted to share a local story of global interest regarding the over-the-top handling of the current pandemic situation by authorities.. in this case a town here on the coast of Connecticut. Westport has one of the highest per-capita household incomes on the planet.. and just happens to have been home of some famous actors* and famous creeps**.

*James Comey, Harvey Weinstein
That being said... KUDOS to the Westporters who stood up to this attempt at "mission creep"!
Local police wanted to deploy infra-red (FLIR so very accurate temperature readings at long range) as well as the ability to detect one's heart-rate and breathing rate... all in the name of "finding those that are infected by don't know it". Check this out... the protesting shut it down pretty quickly.. just 2 days later!
