Last week @tony-duke held the first ever Poetic-surge Poetry Contest and we received a lot very good entries (30 in total). It was very hard for us to pick our winners and we had to make a lot of shortlists before finally picking our winners. In the end here is the poem that won the contest an the prize of $25.

Emptiness

A formation of skin
Walking endlessly to find itself
Along shores and quiet roads
Carrying heart with a heavy soul

With nothing to feel
Living a life surreal
No turning points;
Nor twisting roads

Silence fills the mind
Realization come to bind
Everything is but;
An emptiness inside
