Secrets Under Trees - 100 Days of Poetry Challenge (Day 33)

Everyone has lies and hurtful secrets they wish to bury, actions they regret and things they want to change. This short poem is about learning to appreciate everything a person has to offer and not just dwelling on their past mistakes.

Secrets Under Trees

Tiny little secrets
Get buried in the dirt,
And if they were dug up,
Someone would probably get hurt,
So leave them safely there,
To rot amongst the leaves,
Admiring instead,
The truth in summer's green trees.
