Melting Goodbyes - 6 Haiku-Styled Poems

Winter is leaving... these 6 poems are my brief narration of its final days:

Forced Sleep:
The eyelids close,
Their lashes frozen into place.
Tears turn to ice...

Final Grip:
The steely hand
Grasps strongly, but the overlong nails -
Too frail to last.

Parting Hate
The cold wind
Is burning with anger today,
Its final day.

Extinction
The wolf of Winter
Once howled so proud, now he seems
So far away...

"The wolf of Winter"

Seeking Purpose:
The snow once
Turned to frozen stakes, now it
Feeds the lakes

Pink Bang:
The cherry butterfly
With petal wings barely flies,
Yet spring will rise...

These poems can be read separately but also make for a six-chapter story on the passing of Winter , read/interpret them as you like!
