Ode to Lego - The Ode Challenge (Toys)

Hello, steemers! I thought it was high time we took a break from all the stress, from this tiring day to day, and remembered the times when our biggest problem was finishing homework in time to play a bit before bed, instead of missing bedtime stressing uselessly over STEEM prices going down.

With that in mind, I present to you my entry into @Japhofin8or's Toy-themed Ode Challenge:

Ode to Lego

Oh Lego, timeless wonder
Of incredible potential,
So simple when alone,
Such marvel when in numbers.

From houses to skyscrapers,
From skyscrapers to whole cities,
One brick, then a thousand linked,
To form the land of creativity.

Cathedrals go up,
Of white and purple and red,
Cathedrals then go down,
The bricks once again spread.

So fast does time go by,
Creating, building, breaking,
When we’re playing the part
Of intelligent design.

Afterword

I hope you enjoyed reading that! Perhaps it brought back memories, perhaps you'll dig out that giant Lego box from under your daughter's bed and have some fun - You may even dig them out and make her walk on them as punishment for breaking your tablet's screen or something.

In any case, everyone will have fun.

I'll leave you with a question that came to me as I looked for a fitting image for this post:

Do Lego people dream of plastic sheep?
