A Poem for the Minnow

For this contest.

A minnow’s life is not too bad
As I hope you soon shall see
Though oft one might pray and hope
A whale, in time, to be

For a whale, swimming, makes a muck
Leaves a trail, a wake, a scene
Where a minnow darts in-and-out
And can remain, to most, unseen

For all eyes are on a whale, affixed
It’s not easy to move that girth
Which leaves the job to all the minnows
To go and explore the Earth!
