Cell Phone Sonnet

They're trapped inside their phones so very small;
their eyes are zapped all day with the screen's glow.
They don't want to put down their phones at all,
and when they drive, they want their phones to show.
Many escape from real world talking time
to sit and stare into a screen alone-
in a world full of lonely souls that chime
instead of talking, putting down the phone.
More tragic it is when their love of cell
makes them lose control of their own cars-
which forces families to bid them farewell-
for what? Because they heard the repertoire.
Their strong cell phone addiction stole their last breath.
It's tragic that they loved their phones to death.
