REBEL

I still can't believe he's gone. I can't believe it's over 2 years already since he passed. I'm talking about a friend, more like a brother who left us too soon. He gave so much love to everybody. He was a true fighter for freedom. A rebel by heart and soul. A few days ago was his birthday, so i decided i will share these words i wrote to honor him with you.

what is a rebel, what is rebellion, what is this and what is that
there are so many questions in your head
think for yourself, don't trust fascism
to be a rebel means more than just to fight against racism
there is always a story behind the story, your soul will grow
but if you prefer the blindness, don't complain later you didn't know
the world is bleeding, every second and every hour
use your brains, knowledge is power
leave the crowd, keep your eyes open, disobey
there is much more, there are many colors, not just grey
this is new for you, maybe even strange
be ready for change, be the change
rise from the shadows, turn off the tv
i promise you, you will be free

search for the truth, search for what is wrong
i will help you, just listen to this song
wake up, stand up, go out and fight
we are one, share darkness and light
ask the right question, find a solution
yes, the answer is revolution
be a part of somethin' big, of somethin' beautiful
don't fall asleep again, be a rebel

for the government you are not even worth a penny
always remember, they are a few and we are many
believe in yourself, raise your hand against all evil, all crime
don't wait too long, now is the time
now is the time to see what was hidden
what was locked up, what was forbidden
find the right way, don't be a fool
don't believe everythin', what they are doin' is more than just cruel
nothin' is like what it seems, our wings are in chains, we can't fly
so make them fear the worst, let them hear your battle cry

don't be afraid, i'm here, i will help you
i will guide you and i will support you
i will standin' right next to you, with a smile on my face
take your hand and together we will save the tomorrow of the human race
