Jeffrey the Giraffe
Original Poem by @jeffjagoe at 10 years old
Roaming through the mist,
this giant you cannot miss.
Touching the sky like a tower,
do not beware, he is as gentle as a flower.
The baby of this animal is called a calf,
because this animal is called a Giraffe.
He puts up his neck tall and proud,
and can almost touch a high up cloud.

Synopsis
I wrote this poem when I was 10 years old. Giraffes were always one of my favorite animals. The picture of the giraffe eating the bush was taken in the summer of 2017 during the Kilimanjaro Safari ride at Walt Disney World. Geoffrey the Giraffe is the mascot of 'Toys "R" Us'... but this poem was written about a different giraffe named Jeffrey. In the poem, Jeffrey is a confident, yet gentle giant that clearly wants nothing to do with school work!
