Poem - Summer

'Tis the season of love
'Tis the season of life
Summer is upon us once again

The grass grows lush
As the cherry blossoms flush
The cicada plays
Its summer rhyme
The green leaves clashing
Like a summer chime

The seagulls sing
From up high
Their feathers glazed
By the summer light
Amidst the crimson sky
The summer breeze caresses
On this summer night

Like a complicated relationship
You bring us warmth
Yet your pollen
Make us cry and sneeze
The unyielding mistress
Summer has come
Once again
