Poem - I Found You

I found you
Sleeping in a shallow puddle
You rest easy
Lazing in the sunshine
With splashes of dawn's light

I found you
Playing in a deep ravine
An endless crevice
I was lost without your heart's atlas
Exposed to the elements

I found you
Running through the unfolding meadows
The golden wheatfields
The clashing cornstocks
Into my embrace

And you found me
Amidst the clovers
Smiling ear to ear
Dancing with the winds
And pirouetting with the fallen leaves
