FROM A BOY TO A MAN
I've come a long way from "buy me this and by me that"
Hoping my dad would pull out a present from his magic hat
I'm standing on my own little by little
My will is strong now, it's no longer brittle
I've left the the "uncle buy this for me" life
I've practically started thinking of taking a wife
They say it's forward ever and backward never
My future is in full gear and my hustle is a forward lever
The line between boy and man is were I stand
The later is where I hope at the end of the day I land
Life keeps taking shots at me
But it's these shots that determine who I'm supposed to be
I'm getting older every day
Another day, another step closer
From boy to man I'll find my way
With each day the road gets shorter.
