I Am (A Poetry)

I am not the color of my nails,
not even the color of my hair.
I am not my weight,
not even my five feet height.

I am not what I wear,
not even the way I leer.
I am not my looks,
not even how I cook.

I am not how old I am,
not even where I came from.
I am not my past,
not even who I once was.

I am my music playlist,
and the songs I can't resist.
I am the books that I read,
and the stories inside my head.

I am my late night thoughts,
and the demons that I've fought.
I am the places I want to go,
and the things I want to know.

I am the movies I love to watch,
and the scenes I try to act.
I am the plot I want to write,
and the procrastination I want to fight.

I am the poems I make,
and the words I align for rhyming's sake.
I am what I think of the galaxy,
and the meteors I want to see.

I am what I draw,
and the sketches of my flaws.
I am my set of hobbies,
and my disturbing clumsiness.

I am a puzzle without a clue,
I am my own point of view.
I am not what you think of me,
I am what I want you to see.
