Midnight and Coffee

One late evening, as the moonlight draped the land, I peered through the curtains with a coffee in my hand. The soft glow of its luminescent light, medication for this lonely feeling, as evening turned to night. Memories that never happened, playing in my mind. The only truth to life, is the passage of fleeting time. Solace seems to be, the only thing that makes real sense. Words that should flow like water, become jumbled in her presence. They say for every planet, there is a star that guides its way. Sometimes I feel like a star, orbiting the darkness of deep space. Two hearts who haven't found, the soul that makes them lust. If only the divide could close, before both turn back to dust.
