"Wanna see a magic trick?" the season asked.

"Wanna see a magic trick?"
the season asked.

The season
pulls its flair
from beneath
                    its billowing gown:

  Rabbits from hats,
             loaves & fishes,
Leaves to smoke,
                       & genie wishes.

                                              Flow across continents,
barrel down alleys.
                                           Glide over waterways,
Seep through the cracks,
                                       Dive into chimneys,
steal into naps.

    Scribbles in yearbooks
the pangs - tinsel wreaths - romance
ribbons & string
                                             candied kisses
    baked apples
                                 ruined appetites - shock.

sugared despair &
exotic spice,
                          laughter & tears
                                                      through indulgence
                            through vice.
