Ode to a dry humped curtain rod

Dry humping a curtain rod
The creature fell from the sky
Grinning wildly with a nod
Willing it to take off and fly

Who sold it this shoddy wreck
For Two And A Half Coins
Promised was a wondrous trek
When caressed next to loins

The steady leap from cliff's edge
Gravity quickly imposed its will
It fell rapidly like a leaden sledge
The wind flying by with a chill

Rapid the ground appeared to near
Surely this rod would awaken soon
Eventually it began to finally fear
Two and a half may have shown the loon

A mistake it made yet choices are end
Falling rapidly with no abatement at hand
Reality to its will it cannot bend
Until with a slam it encounters the land
