Silence.

A million words run wild in your mind
Waves of thoughts and ideas
Crash into you constantly
Sometimes overwhelming you
And you need to get it out

The weight of all the words rest heavy
In your head
On your tongue
But all that comes out of you
Is silence.

You're getting a headache
Because the voice in your head wont stop
It demands to be heard
But you don't.

Your mouth, pressed into a thin line
Because you know deep down
If there's even a slightest bit of slack
It will all come spilling out.

Lies
Are all you say.
Because you can't afford to say more.
You don't want the waterworks to start
You don't want the dam to break
So you remain silent.
As your mind gets aggressive
Violent.

It's funny
How when you don't speak at all
You still hear your own words
Louder
And they drown out everyone else
Until you just can't hear anyone at all

But your twisted self.
