THE MIRROR

I thought I'm a cat with Lion's bravery
And a bat with dragon's sensory
I thought I'm a rat in polar bear's form
And an air that looks like a windstorm.

I thought I'm a tree that can make a forest
And a short soul in the form of the tallest
I thought I'm one of the great warriors
Until I looked deeply into my mirror.

What I saw there, drove me insane
Like a smoker that has lost his brain
For I saw a soul swimming in agony
And his heart dining with acrimony.

I saw him as the coward's king
That dreamt of wearing a golden ring
I saw his future flowing in blame
And his mouth singing song of shame.

My cleared sight started blurring
And my stomach started grumbling
For the face, I saw looked like mine
Standing like an oldie with a bent spine
