"Poetry is Painting"

In the seas of changing colors, you and I
We have found the one we love
We found it so we paint some more
When the oceans floor was hard and stony
You grew arms for me to hold onto what brought us home

I'm painting you on my mind
Pouring my heart on canvas
I'm painting you on throbbing paper, girl, you turn into words
I got absorbed by your every sigh
And it's starting to claw at me

Life's too quiet without you
I keep reaching for you
The days are dragging
And all the parts of the world I get to be around

While we're apart just doesn't seem right
I'm turning on your television or radio instead
There's nothing that can take all my pain away
Without you by my side

It's not suspenseful and it's not complicated
But it's lonely as hell, so don't laugh too soon
We know there's always a chance that we won't survive

As the colors start to explode
I thought my pigment found a muse
But you were just my canvas girl
I love you enough to know that I'll do right by you.
