Flat Steel - Inspirational Video

So once upon a time there were some flat pieces of steel, they were very flat, smooth, and uniform, and looked perfect to be cut and shaped into anything.

The flat pieces of steel looked at each other, and said we are normal, we are good, we are perfect...
When God picked up the flat steel, and tried to heat it up and shape it, it resisted any change, and thought any change would be abnormal, wrong, different, imperfect.

Then God was frustrated with the flat steel's unwillingness to change.

God saw a pile of mangled up scrap metal, and the flat steel thought something was wrong with the scrap metal, and even the scrap metal thought something was wrong with it, but when God picked it up, and heated it, and formed it, it was willing to change, because it knew it needed to be changed, and it became the perfect work of art God wanted it to be. There were still some marks that showed it's previous imperfections.

The flat steel became jealous and angry, with God's finished product, tried to accuse it of being abnormal and different... and the flat steel told others to avoid God's work of art, and not be like it, but be like itself, like the boring flat steel, with it's perfections, unyielding to God. Stiff necked and stubborn.

So God sent messengers, prophets, and wise men to speak to the flat steel, and try to make it obedient to God, but the flat steel destroyed the messengers, chased them from town to town, prosecuted and persecuted the messengers, and were unwilling to listen to God.

Then God sent Himself as a piece of steel, to minister to the flat steel, but it decided to crucify God and hang Him on the cross.

You don't have to be perfect to listen to God, and let Him transform you, you just have to be willing. by Justin Breithaupt September 23 at 2:13am PST
