While I have been with Hive for over a year this is my 4th (intentional , a few by happy accident :) ) time participating in the Hive Power Up Day.
I was first introduced to Hive through Splinterlands. One day when I couldn't rent a card due to my resource credits I started my dive into the Hive ecosystem. It is simple and complex a the same time and I am still learning new things and connecting with new people every time I interact.
Today and this week has been a wild ride for HIVE huge price swings (if anyone has some theories what make these fluctuations please let me know what you think) even still I have decided to hold my HIVE like a good Hiver and power 10HP today for that sweet, sweet badge... and possibly some prizes.

To participate there are some requirements:
Your reputation must be above 39 and below 70 and your account must be in good standing with the community.
Your total Hive Power (before the 1st) must be more than 100 and less than 8000.
You must power up at least 10 Hive on August 1st (and must NOT be powering down).
You must write a post about your power up on August 1st with the tag #HivePUD (International) or #HPUD (Hispanic) as one of your first 5 tags (tagging only in the body of the post doesn't count).
You must meet all requirements and the
winner will be decided by the percentage powered up compared to their current Hive power.
