Google Pixel 2 XL: Flipkart delays delivery by two weeks, blames Google

The Google Pixel 2XL was scheduled to go on sale via Flipkart yesterday, that is November 15.

The gap between the launch of the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL was a good two week. While the Pixel 2 went up on sale on November 1, the Pixel 2 XL was meant to be delivered by Flipkart to its customers starting yesterday. However, as it turns out this gap of two weeks, is now going to turn into a month.

We were tipped by one of our readers, who says that instead of receiving his Pixel 2 XL delivery yesterday, he received an email from Flipkart last night, notifying him of a two-week delay in the delivery of the smartphone. And what’s hard to gather is that in the email, Flipkart apparently offers a Rs 300 compensation for this delay.

BGR India reached out to Flipkart and Google, and to further know about the issue. While Google hasn’t responded yet, a Flipkart spokesperson has said that, “The shipping of the phone’s variant has been delayed from Google’s end to both offline and online channels in India. No retailer in India has received the variant yet. The variant being referred to is is Google Pixel 2 XL (black & white).”
