Ancient artists

I always wonder what the people who carved these petroglyphs were thinking or visualizing all those centuries ago here in the Southwest. The effort involved and their prominence in the Ancient Puebloan cultures would seem to indicate a very deep significance in their society.
If only we could have been there to watch.
