Last year, the legendary pop-punk band The Queers played here. Here's how the show went!
The Queers are a punk band that formed in New Hampshire 36 years ago. They've played a few times here in Huntsville, but this was the first time I had a chance to get to the show.
There were three local bands who opened for them that night.
The first opening band is called TALLS. They are from right here in Huntsville. You can check out a little of their sound on their Facebook page found here:

And here are some of my favorite shots I got of them on that night:
The second band to play that night was Pirate Nights. They are a punk rock band from Cullman, AL led by a husband and wife team on lead vocals and drums. Although you might not guess it by looking at them, they play hard, loud, and fast. It's rare to see them play without a mosh pit forming at some point during their performance. You can check them out on Spotify if you'd like to hear how they sound.

Here's my shots of them from the evening:
As, I said before, it didn't take long for the growing crowd to start getting a little rowdy.
The next band is called Ugly Houses. They are also from right here in Huntsville, AL. It was my first time hearing them and they were a real surprise. Really catchy, melodic rock sound. Great musicians and a solid lead singer. You can hear a few of their tunes here:

And here are some of my favorite shots I got of them that night, most of them of the lead singer simply because he was extremely animated and fun to shoot.
The crowd started to grow in anticipation of The Queers taking the stage.
Drunken Dancing commenced.
Ugly Houses had a few more songs to play.
Finally, late into the night, it was time for The Queers to take the stage. The bar was absolutely packed from front to back. Definitely the largest crowd I've ever seen there.
The show is about to get crazy.
Let's go!
After a blistering set that was over an hour long, Joe seems pretty happy.
And a good time was had by all.
This was by far one of the best shows I've ever been to.
If you guys enjoyed this post, please let me know with your upvotes, resteems, comments, and follows!
I have tons more photos from shows I've shot over the years that I'd love to share.
I'd really love to be able to afford to travel to shows outside of Huntsville to document them with my camera. Maybe Steemit can help make that happen!
Thanks for checking out my pics! 'Til next time!
