Thoughts, Words and Photos (Thirty Four)

I had a good writing day today and felt engaged with the platform and the audience. In my opinion, that is a job well done for a day at Steemit. I do feel however that I have been focusing heavily on the Steem side of the equation and neglecting my other content. This is easy for me to do as I see a lot of overlap and relatable material between pieces even though the style and even genre is quite different.

What I really enjoy here is the ability to play with many different toys, even though they may be unfamiliar to begin with. Tonight, I was combining porn, censorship and SMTs and potential benefits of attracting the industry. Smart Media Token knowledge is something I need to spend some time building which is part of the reason I posted it. I think anyone looking long needs to learn a little about it.

I see the platform as a very large learning experience for me and like most of the world, the more you learn, the more you earn. In a class today we were talking about the value of skills and I have the same philosophy here. If a skill is easy to obtain by many people and doesn't degrade much over time, there is not a lot of value in it as a competitive advantage.

And that is something that is increasingly separating individuals from one another, those willing to do a lot of work to learn something that has value but is difficult to get and, those who are not. The gap is widening and the group willing to really work is decreasing. In my opinion, this leads to an inequality of skill that some people will have very little chance to overcome if they let it go too far.

What is too far? I don't know but Steemit offers experience in complexities most people here are very unwilling to get involved with, let alone people that aren't here yet. And, it is learning in an area that is set to increasingly shift the way data, economies and people interact with each other and how incomes are derived from skills and behaviours. There is a lot to learn yet how many people are really getting into it?

It is a long, slow process but for me, my posts aim to move me towards a position of better knowledge, increased skills and improved awareness of the things that influence me and I can influence. What I hope is that we can all learn something together that makes our futures better than our pasts.
