The drive from Ubud (central Bali) to Amed (North coast) is a spectacular one. I took a bunch of pics from the moving car.
We stopped for lunch in a graveyard! I felt as if it was a particularly beautiful graveyard.
Frankly, if we are going to get funny about the cycle of what is ultimately just meat being turned into soil by the worms...
...well then, I would suggest reading The Tibetan Book of the Dead
For us it was simply the right spot to eat :)
Upon arrival we found the perfect hotel right on the beach. For 500,000 IDR per night which is $37.
Tomorrow I am going to help them set up a Steemit account. And then I will add them to the @steemholidays account.
And then you will be able to book a holiday here using the STEEM in your wallet!!!!
That's my dedication to you :)
After unpacking we went for a walk on the beach to watch the sunset...
Just around this corner is Mt Agung, Bali's largest volcano. Tomorrow I will walk further down this beach to see it, with my drone and my time-lapse kit :)
DAY 1
This morning I was up early to catch the sunrise out at sea. This was something I was particularly looking forward to as a sungazer. It's not often I am able to watch the full spectrum of colours as it rises into view at sea level.
Right, Sabina is coming back in a minute so I gotta go!
Bloody hell, I really am an addict aren't I? I promised not to do any steemit posts for three days!
Haha :) no chance.
Steem on through adversity my friends!
I will of course still spend lots of time with my family, which was my intention for this trip :)
