This beautiful specimen was found in Oregon and is just filled full of vibrant fiery colors leaving one increasingly enticed with it's beauty. This pendant was sold at auction for $20,000! The Opal was mined in Opal Butte, Oregon.
This particular opal is commonly found with limonite, sandstone, rhyolite, marl and basalt.
