A walk along the Avon Canal - Bath UK

Life has been throwing a few curve balls lately.
I was in Bath due to my father needing to be at the hospital for a CT scan. Finding myself at a loose end I thought I would see what I could see along the Avon Canal.
It was yet another hot day as I wandered, the canals shady footpath a wonderful respite from the heat. There were the occasional walkers, but, for the most part, it was just myself and nature. Please enjoy.@qurator

Lowest archway ever, had to duck here...

The small bird in the pathway was a magpie that I startled as I came out the other end.

This is a maintenance and repair dock for barges. The small footbridge above overlooks it.

Buddha was around every corner. It was almost as if I had discovered a secret floating temple.

Beautifully crafted gate, I presumed made by the people on the barge. It was almost like walking along a row of houses. Each barge moorings have their own garden and uniqueness.

Wish I had filmed this. The lovely lady piloting the barge gave me a big wave, smiling as she sailed by. These canal people seem a good bunch!

Very strange inscription here, definitely worth a read, the sign seemed to have been there for quite a while.

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed the pictures. The walk took me away temporarily from the reality of why I was there, just wanted to share.
