Been almost a year since I've been in this part of the country. Beautiful beaches, great food, and a good way to relax, and add some more photos to my portfolio.
This is Tavira at sunset. This coastal city has been my base in these days, from where I've been exploring the nearby beaches.
Most beaches around have to be accessed by boat, but the very small trip is worth it: strips of sand that go on for miles!
All this area is part of a natural park called Ria Formosa, filled with little islands where the cool beaches are, and home to a multitude of flora and fauna. Apart from relaxing at the beach, getting some more material for my #featheredfriends posts was also on my mind. And my first little birdwatching trip didn't disappointed! Flamingos, shore birds, spoonbills, and a few more species were strolling near the salt fields.
Smartphone photography can't do justice to all the birds I've seen... but here's a teaser! 😉
Posting from my phone is definitely not my favourite, but I was missing sharing some photos. Now off to some more relax... and hopefully, some more wildlife photography in the coming days!
