Two weeks ago, spring temperatures announced to the vegetation that the end of winter was near and that it was time to get to work.

The Quince tree and Mahonia in my garden began to produce well rounded and beautifully colored flower buds.

Suddenly, winter having not yet said its last word, a great cold wave swept over France and immediately froze all this life which was beginning to bloom.

Only a few days passed before rain and warmer weather arrived once again. Raindrops washed away all traces of frost and ice, which then took on a completely different appearance, almost translucent and slimy-looking. This gave nature an aspect that I rarely have had the opportunity to witness.

Il y a deux semaines, des températures printanières annoncèrent à la végétation que la fin de l'hiver arrivait et qu'il était temps de se mettre au travail.

Le Cognassier du Japon et le Mahonia se mirent donc à produire des boutons de fleurs bien ronds et bien colorés.

L'hiver n'ayant pas encore dit son dernier mot, une grande vague de froid survint et figea immédiatement cette vie qui commençait à éclore.

Puis ce fût la pluie et le redoux qui arrivèrent. L'eau lava la blancheur du gel pour ne laisser qu'un aspect translucide et gélatineux. Cela donna à la nature un aspect que j'ai rarement eu l'occasion de voir.
