Sights of summer - Emerald Dragonfly


Summer's can feel so fleeting in the UK, for me its arrival is heralded by hundreds of Emperor Dragonflies. Although they have a life-cycle of two years, the mature adults live for a matter of weeks so it's a race to mate, reproduce and find somewhere safe to lay their eggs.

I was inspired to revisit some of the images I took on my last trip to visit friends and family by @czechglobalhosts latest photo challenge. Go check them out, they're packed full of crazily great images. Loving being part of that community.
