Mucuchíes es un pueblito Merideño, considerado como una ciudad de dicho estado Andino cubierto de montañas hermosas y majestuosidad, totalmente bellas, siemore cuando visito lugares así recuerdo a mi amado @joseg quien vivió en una ciudad cercana que tenía por nombre San Rafael de Mucuchíes mas cercano aun del páramo, al llegar a Mérida nuestra primera parada fue aquí no perdí la oportunidad de caminar por un gran rato, ya que quería disfrutar de este lugar tan hermoso, lo verde de sus montañas que ofrecen una panorámica hermosa.

El nombre de este lugar radica porque en dicho lugar los primeros que habitaron fueron los indios Mucuchíes, quienes fueron lis primeros en tener un contactocon los españoles, habían intentado ponerle diversos nombres pero finalmente le pusieron Santa Lucía de Mucuchíes y en la actualidad es el nombre que posee, este lugar tiene una latitud de 8°45' norte y oeste de 70°55' al oeste una altura de 2.983 al nivel del mar, siendo el tercer pueblo con mayor altura seguido despues de San Rafael de Mucuchíes y de Apartaderos.
