This was over the weekend when we were on the Mountains. The Sunset here was spectacular. I had a friend visiting me from India, so this weekend was all about short travels around the city showing him some of the places. He left today morning and I am kind of feeling exhausted with all the running around. I do enjoy having guests at my home, but then it does get tiring also, since I need to take them around and also manage the house things. I have noticed this one thing that whenever I have any guests come over, they hesitate to go out alone in this city. I am not sure what is the reason, but this is the general trend that I see. They always want me to accompany them. I was checking with my friend that why is this behavior, since he also did a similar thing. He mentioned that since the public transport system is very poor over here, people feel a little hesitant to venture out on their own by taxis or any other private vehicles. Which I to an extent agree but not completely.
Oman is a very safe country and there is no need for anyone to feel unsafe here. Not all but majority of the taxi drivers speak English. This I can understand can become a challenge. But then the Uber service is also there, where you do not have a need to communicate.
Anyways we went to the Mountains with him and it was such a pleasant time. The temperature was 22 degrees, such a relief from the city heat. The best thing was the Sunset, which I could not get my eyes off.
