A sad reality for this poor man with his son who has nothing but his guitar and speaker to serenade people in exchange for a small amount of penny. In front him are the busy people queuing for the tickets to board the boat to ferry them to the other city. I took this picture at the Ferry Terminal in Lapu-lapu City. My heart was weakened by seeing their situation.
I learned that the man was blind. Instead of him being taken care of, he is taking care of his little boy.
He did not let his disability to hinder him from providing for him and for his family because that what love does to people. Knowing you can’t give up on yourself because there are people who depends on you on a daily basis.
I hope and pray for God to strengthen this man everyday in his life.
This is a great example of what a father is willing to do for his son.
