Flower Crowns - a Greek tradition for May 1st!

Every 1st of May in Greece we make Flower Crowns and hang them on our balconies. It is supposed to be a Labor's Day however the spirit of the celebration is more of a welcome to Spring - or Summer to be more precise. We all try to make a beautiful and rich flower crown, to bring good luck and prosperity to our homes - and we are also competitive with each other; it is a small art competition

Today @sofi-m 's twin sister, Kiki, joined us and we made our crowns together. It was a very very special day for all of us, but especially for the twins.

I have to make a complaint though; It was me that brought all the flowers home, and the twin took most of them (in fact they took ALL the good looking ones) and I was left with left overs. And yes it is a cheap excuse for making the thinner crown. Oh well, never mind... :) I had my Fox.

Have a great month everyone!
