Suri, the worm that eats in Peru

Now, I'm going to show the Suri.

It's from Iquitos. Its life cycle starts when this is a egg (from 3 to 5 days), larva (from 60 to 65 days - in this stage is suri), Caterpillar ( around 16 days) and adult (42 days is a beetle).

In Iquitos, the suri represents one of the typical foods representative of the Peruvian jungle, defined by many as "extremely tasty" and with nutritional properties. This exotic dish is much sought after by domestic and foreign visitors.
