For today I expose a series of photographs to a musical instrument called "CUATRO" or four would be its equivalent in English
!
Surely you know the cuatro, an emblematic musical instrument of our Venezuelan musical folklore, which is present in the majority (if not all) of the genres developments in our country such as the bagpipe, the joropo, the meringue peasant, bonuses, among others, it gets its name from the four strings that make it up and originate the sound waves, although if we attribute that attribute to the instrument here we should call it three, but this is only a detail that fortunately has an easy solution and also does not determine the definition of our simple artifact, there is no story behind this small defect (not that I know of) but neither is it an impediment for it to be presented, although it does not fulfill its musical function because of the conditions in which it is found. that the musical sound is potentially implicit in its three strings, and it is really for me the spirit and the importance of this instrument.
I must confess that I do not know much about music strictly speaking, but as many of us like to listen to it, the melodies or the fine coordination of the sounds produced by such instruments are really artistic, capable of producing emotions that invite us to express it spontaneously or organized to through the dances that suit the type of music. I know that the sound is the result of the disturbance in a medium causing waves that convey certain information which we capture through our ear and brain, responsible for giving a sense to the wave, but I do not imagine how these related waves can generate such stimulating sounds, it is clear that every detail in the musical instruments, whatever it is in addition to giving shape to a work that help create a unique sound, but it must also be complex as those details are combined for that purpose, really amazing power deepen in these characteristics, that's why I say an art. Music is one of the wonders that I have been able to enjoy, in many of its diversities, capable of both raising my spirits, as well as diminishing it, with hopeful melodies, melancholy, joyful, rebellious, protestant, motivating, in short unique, it is interesting and paradoxical as the shape and geometry of the instruments themselves represents space without time, and music in the same way is time without space.
Instrumental music can certainly give a different tone to the place where we are, adding more meaning to the environment according to the melody, in short enjoy it is a blessing and create it is a sound art expressed in time.
